About MEDA
Mother Earth Design Awards (MEDA) responsibility is to improve the human condition and the environment's sustainability.

MEDA is the vision of Akbar Bhamani, Founder and Chairman. He comes from a long line of progressive thinkers and socially conscious philanthropists. Decades ago his father and grandfather successfully organized and implemented plans to elevate conditions for marginalized populations with new schools, hospitals and orphanages. Together with their families, the local community and businesses the vision and mission still thrive.

MEDA focuses on the business of environmental sustainability. Ecology is no longer a trendy social issue and environmental challenges are motivating individuals and businesses to step beyond conventional fixes.

MEDA believes that international competitions calling for cutting-edge creativity add to a growing list of solutions. We understand the correlation between a society at peace with itself and a healthy planet. Our purpose is to explore and promote a myriad of solutions.

We encourage responsible participation in the creative and pragmatic process of restoring ecological balance through education, eco-friendly architecture and planning, science and product-design competitions. We are here to promote excellence.

MEDA is dedicated to the principles of justice and equality on behalf of Mother Earth. We accept responsibility for giving opportunities that elevate the human condition as we honor the sanctity of Mother Earth.
